Stamping the document by a notary

Collation

Collation is a less used notarial procedure, which represents the legalized copy of a document in a foreign language. In order for the public notary to be able to make a legalized copy of an authentic/private signature/with a definite date/legalized copy (attention, not photocopies) document, the client will first have to go to a translator authorized by the Ministry of Justice, for the latter to prepare the document for the legalized copy. The translation of the document into the Romanian is required for the public notary's archive, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the Law of Public Notaries and notarial activity, and, depending on the final destination of the document, the client's copy may include both the original photocopied document and the related translation (which is normally required only by the public notary).

Our translation centre also offers you the service of collating documents in a foreign language. For more information, feel free to contact us.
